At the same time, she demanded immediate action regarding the closure of the ICU unit due to manpower shortage.
In this regard, Dr. Md. Selim Mia, Superintendent of District Sadar Hospital, said, “Today, the Minister inaugurated our ICU unit through a Zoom meeting. We will launch the ICU unit activities with a limited number of manpower. However, it will take more time to get the full manpower, in which case it will take more time to fully launch the ICU unit.”
In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Farida Yasmin said, “Today, the much-awaited ICU unit of Sherpur District Hospital was inaugurated. Efforts will be made to resolve other problems and manpower shortages in the coming days.”
In this regard, Dr. Sansila Zebrin Priyanka MP of the reserved women’s seat said, “On June 7, when I expressed my demand for the district’s health department and the opening of an ICU unit, the Health Minister asked me to inform him in writing after the parliament session. In view of this, today he inaugurated our Sherpur ICU unit in just five working days, including the recruitment of manpower. Inshallah, in the future, I will try to solve all other problems including health services in Sherpur as soon as possible.”
