Sports Deskl: Brazil put on a fine display in their final warm-up match at home before the World Cup, thrashing Panama 6-2. The match was held at the historic Maracana Stadium.

Vinicius Junior gave Brazil the lead in the first minute of the match. Vinicius sent the ball into the net from about 25 yards after a pass from experienced midfielder Casemiro.

However, Panama unexpectedly equalized in the 14th minute. Michel Murillo’s free-kick deflected off Mathias Cunha and deflected past goalkeeper Alisson.

Six minutes before the end of the first half, Brazil took the lead again thanks to a combination between Vinicius and Casemiro. Vinicius’ shot from the left side went into the net, but Casemiro’s header was blocked by Vinicius.

During the break, Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti made a major change. He changed the entire starting eleven, except for Leo Pereira.

As the second half began, the new eleven proved their superiority and scored three goals in quick succession to make it 5-1.

In the 53rd minute, 19-year-old Ryan made it 3-1. The Bournemouth youngster intercepted a sloppy pass from Panama goalkeeper Orlando Mosquera and coolly slotted the ball into the net.

In the 60th minute, Lucas Paqueta scored Brazil’s fourth goal with a long-range shot. Three minutes later, Igor Thiago added a fifth from the penalty spot. In the 81st minute, Danilo scored Brazil’s sixth goal. The Botafogo player controlled Paqueta’s floated pass and beat the Panamanian defence with a perfect finish.

Carlos Hervey finally scored a consolation goal for Panama with a superb shot from about 30 yards.
