Uttara in Reception ceremony for new members of the National Press Club held

Momtaz Uddin: A “Reception ceremony for new members of the National Press Club residing in Uttara” was held in Uttara, the capital, with a colorful arrangement.

The program was presided over and supervised by Farid Ahmed Nayan, Chairman of the Media Training Institute and member of Uttara Press Club.

Eminent personalities from various classes and professions, including journalists, were present at the program, organized to honor newly elected and new members in the journalism profession.

Chairman of AC Shilpa Group, Director of DBC Channel, and advisor to Gazipur Television Journalist Forum and Media Training Institute Uttara, Md. Salauddin Chowdhury, was present as the chief guest at the program.

In his speech, he said that journalism is a noble profession and journalists have to play a more responsible role to work for the truth and justice of the society. He urged the new members to work with integrity, professionalism and human values.

The MD of Style Garments Limited and the Director of Europe-Bangladesh Federation of Commerce also spoke at the event. He emphasized on women’s leadership, social development and the positive role of the media.

Alauddin Al Azad, President of Uttara Press Club, said that this arrangement has been made to further strengthen the harmony, unity and professional relations among the members of the National Press Club living in Uttara. He said that various activities will continue for the welfare of journalists in the future.

Various media workers of the capital, representatives of social organizations, political figures and local dignitaries were present at the event.

The reception ceremony was held in a festive atmosphere. At the end of the event, the new members were presented with floral greetings and honors.
