The inauguration of the Upazila Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center was held in Barura, Comilla.
On Sunday, May 17 at 1:00 PM, the Barura Upazila Islamic Foundation Directorate organized a function in which Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher Suman MP was present as the chief guest.
Barura Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Asaduzzaman Roni presided over the function and Additional Chief Engineer of Public Works Department, Chittagong Zone, Kazi Md. Abu Hanif spoke as a special guest. Islamic Foundation Management Department Director Md. Bazlur Rashid, Comilla District Islamic Foundation Deputy Director Ashikur Rahman, Barura Haji Noab Ali Pilot High School Donor Member Mohammad Zakir Hossain, Md. Junab Ali, Barura Upazila BNP Vice President Syed Rezaul Haque Reju, General Secretary Zahirul Haque Swapan, Barura Municipality BNP President Bir Muktijuddha Shamsul Haque Sardar, Vice President and Former Municipal Mayor Jasim Uddin Patwary, General Secretary Mofizul Islam.
Barura Upazila Assistant Commissioner Land Ahsan Hafiz moderated the function. When Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher Sumon MP arrived at the Upazila Model Mosque premises on this day, he was greeted with flowers by Barura Upazila Nirbahi Officer Asaduzzaman Roni and other officials.
