The leaders of the Editors’ Council met with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting was held at the Public Administration Meeting Room of the Cabinet Division at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday afternoon.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan, State Minister Yaser Khan Chowdhury, Prime Minister’s Information Advisor Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman, Editors’ Council President and New Age Editor Nurul Kabir, General Secretary Banik Barta Editor Dewan Hanif, The Daily Star Editor and Publisher Mahfuz Anam, Manabzamin Editor Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, Prothom Alo Editor Matiur Rahman, The Financial Express Editor Shamsul Haque Zahid, Dainik Inkilab Editor AMM Bahauddin, Suprabhat Bangladesh Editor Russo Mahmud and Dainik Karatoya Editor Md. Mozammel Haque were present at the meeting.
During this time, the Prime Minister had lunch with journalists.
The Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Saleh Shibli and Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon were present at the meeting.
