SHAH SHARIF, one of the country’s leading textile and garment machinery suppliers, has received a huge response on the concluding day of the four-day ‘BTKG Fair 2026’ held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Kuril, the capital. At the fair, the company showcased its state-of-the-art IHI centrifugal compressor of Japanese technology, which is expected to revolutionize the country’s industrial sector.

While talking to the media at Shah Sharif’s stall on the last day of the fair, the company’s esteemed director, Mr. Syed Nafe Islam Sameer, said, “We have brought a completely different and innovative technology to this fair. We are showcasing Japanese technology IHI centrifugal compressors with a capacity of 300 to 630 kW. It ensures 100% oil-free air supply, which is very important especially for the spinning, food and pharmaceuticals industries.”

Mentioning the energy saving and maintenance benefits, he further said, “This technology of ours is a ‘game changer’ for the industry. One of our customers in Chittagong used to use 16 screw compressors earlier, which is now being replaced and running the entire operation with just one 630 kW IHE compressor. This is saving them about lakhs of taka on their daily electricity costs.”
​It is worth noting that Shah Sharif, established in 1993, has been serving the utility sector of Bangladesh for 33 years. Earlier, they have established a strong position in the country’s market with German technology ‘BOGE’ compressors. Currently, the country’s leading industrial groups like Square Group, Radisha, DBL and Moscow are long-standing customers of Shah Sharif. Apart from this, they have displayed various automation machinery including nitrogen and oxygen generators and spinning sliver cans made in Germany and Turkey at the fair.
