Huge quantity of diesel stored in Pabna seized

The upazila administration has seized a huge quantity of diesel stored illegally in two establishments in Kazirhat area of ​​Bera upazila of Pabna. A fine of one lakh taka was collected from the two establishments for illegally storing diesel and the seized diesel was sold in the open market at the government-determined price.

On Sunday night, based on information from the National Security Intelligence (NSI), a raid was conducted on the business establishments of Abdul Quddus and Abdus Salam in Kazirhat Bazar of Bera upazila. During the raid, 1,200 liters of diesel were seized from Abdus Salam’s establishment and 3,600 liters from Abdul Quddus’ establishment. At that time, Bera Upazila Executive Officer Ronald Chakma fined the owners of the two establishments 50,000 taka each. The seized diesel was sold in the open market at the government-determined price from Monday morning.
On the instructions of NSI Joint Director Tawfiq Iqbal, NSI members assisted the upazila administration and law enforcement agencies in the operation under the supervision of Deputy Director ABM Lutful Kabir.
