With the aim of increasing the awareness of the farming community and increasing agricultural crop production, a field technology orientation was held with various farmers of Dakua Union of the upazila under the implementation of the Galachipa Upazila Agriculture Office of Patuakhali. Starting every year in January and February, and continuing until Wednesday, April 7, 2026, various farmers of Dakua Union of the upazila visited the cultivated agricultural fields produced by the farmers under the Field Technology Orientation Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship and Resilience in Bangladesh (Partner) Program.
Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam Sikder, Additional Director of Agriculture, Barisal Region, was present as the chief guest. The special guest was Mr. Shahadat Hossain, Additional Deputy Director (Crops), Department of Agricultural Extension, Khamarbari, Patuakhali, under the guidance of Galachipa Upazila Agriculture Officer Arju Akhter. Additional Agriculture Officer Md. Akramuzzaman and others were also present.
The chief guest said that such field technology warranty is very necessary for farmers. We want farmers to take timely measures to control agricultural crop diseases and insects and ensure increased crop production. The Department of Agricultural Extension is implementing programs across the country.
