ISU campus in festive mood on Chaitra Sankranti and Pohela Boisakh

A “Praner Utsab Yatra” was held on the occasion of Chaitra Sankranti and Bengali New Year with colorful arrangements on the premises of International Standard University (ISU). On Monday, the event at the university’s Mohakhali campus was held with the chief guest, ISU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan, and the spontaneous participation of students, teachers and officials made the event lively and festive.

As part of the event, a colorful procession was taken out from the campus. Participants in traditional costumes and decorations presented a colorful picture of Bengali culture. The procession circled various important roads in the university area.

Speaking as the chief guest at the event, the university’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan said that Baisakhi fair, various festivals and childhood memories are an integral part of Bengali culture. He urged the students to continue practicing their culture along with their studies and careers, so that the Bengali nation can be established with more dignity in the world court.

The program was also attended by Dean of the Faculty of Business Education, Professor Dr. Manjur Morshed Mahmud, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abul Kashem, Director of IQAC, Professor Dr. Md. Ekramul Haque, Registrar Md. Faizullah Kaushik, along with department heads and teachers.

The program, organized to mark the farewell of the old year and the arrival of the new year, was a bright reflection of the traditions, values, and joy of festivals of Bengali culture.
