The great Independence and National Day was celebrated with due dignity and solemnity in Muktagachha, Mymensingh. On Thursday (March 26), 2026, Muktagachha Upazila Administration and Upazila BNP organized separate programs to pay tribute to the brave martyrs.Â
At the beginning of the day, Mymensingh-5 (Muktagachha) constituency MP Md. Zakir Hossain Bablu, along with party leaders and workers, laid a wreath at the local martyrs’ memorial and paid deep tribute to the martyrs of the great liberation war. After paying tribute, he attended the colorful parade and physical exercise program organized by the upazila administration as the chief guest and received the salute. At that time, in his speech as the chief guest, he expressed his determination to build a prosperous Bangladesh of the future inspired by patriotism and thanked the participating students and organizers. Senior officials of the local administration, political figures and dignitaries were present at the program presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Krishna Chandra. On the occasion of the day, various competitive programs and discussion meetings were organized by the upazila administration.
