 On the occasion of Independence Day, a colorful program was organized at Karnaphuli Mini Stadium on Thursday morning (March 26) by the Kaptai Upazila administration. The program, which started at 8 am, included a march past, children and youth gathering, parade, freedom fighter reception, sports competition and prize distribution.
Police, Ansar, Navy Scouts, Rover Scouts, Girls Guides and students from various primary and secondary schools of the upazila participated in the parade. Md. Ruhul Amin, Upazila Executive Officer, inspected the parade and took the salute at the Karnaphuli Mini Stadium premises.
Dildar Hossain, former Upazila Chairman, Sheikh Mahmudul Hasan Rubel, Kaptai Police Station OC, freedom fighters, government officials, public representatives, teachers and people from all walks of life were present at the time. On the occasion of the day, wreaths were laid at the Kaptai Upazila Central Shaheed Minar in the morning by the Upazila Parishad, Upazila administration, political parties and their affiliates, journalists, police, Ansar, Fire Service and various social, cultural and sports organizations to pay deep tribute to the nation’s sun-born children.
