BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince held his first meeting after taking charge as the administrator of Mymensingh Zilla Parishad, one of the largest districts in the country. At that time, in addition to the officials and employees of the Zilla Parishad, the district, metropolitan and upazila BNP leaders and activists in the presence of many people greeted this tested and tested leader with floral greetings. At that time, Syed Emran Saleh Prince said – Bangladesh has started its journey on the path of democracy in exchange for thousands of martyrs. By taking the responsibility of running the country through an election, the current Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is not wasting a single moment. He is working tirelessly for the welfare of the country and the nation. In the meantime, he is starting work to restructure the administration as well as strengthen the local government department. In this regard, he has also taken the initiative to appoint administrators and hold elections.   Â
He made these remarks at the first meeting held after taking charge as administrator with the outgoing administrator and related officials and employees at the Mymensingh District Council meeting room on Tuesday (March 24) morning.At this time, he expressed deep respect and condolences to former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and prayed for the repose of her soul and further said – The responsibility of the District Council Administrator is not personal gain or compensation. It is an alternative means of public welfare in the service of the people. In fulfilling this responsibility, I want to work for the development of Mymensingh with the joint efforts of all. For this, the Prime Minister of the country, the Local Government Minister and the Secretary have assured me. They will cooperate with me in this regard. Especially, they want to strengthen the District Council, which is dying due to irregularities, looting and commission trading in the past. For this, they have also asked for a proposal from us. God willing, we will give this proposal within the next month, we will turn the District Council into a strong institution oriented towards public welfare. I want to work to implement the intention of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to rebuild the country. For this, I hope that you will cooperate with me. Â
Earlier, at 10:45 am, Mymensingh-4 (Sadar) MP Abu Wahab Akand Wahid, Mymensingh-8 (Ishwarganj) MP Engineer Lutfullahel Majed Babu, Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) newly appointed administrator Rukunuzzaman Sarkar Rukon and other senior leaders of the district and metropolitan BNP rushed to the district council administrator room to welcome the newly appointed administrator with floral greetings. Later, BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince held his first meeting with the outgoing administrator and concerned officials and employees after taking charge as the administrator in the council meeting room. In this, the district council chief executive officer Shah Mohammad Kamrul Huda and other officials and employees expressed their determination to make the district council a strong institution oriented towards public welfare and Mymensingh an ideal district under the leadership of the administrator. Earlier, the concerned officials and employees welcomed the new administrator with floral greetings.
At the meeting, Mymensingh-4 (Sadar) constituency MP Abu Wahab Akand Wahid said, “The person who has taken charge of this council as the administrator today, we have been fighting on the streets for the past 17 years under his leadership, risking our lives. I hope that he will create another example in his courageous role as the administrator of the district council.” Congratulating the newly appointed administrator, Mymensingh-8 (Ishwarganj) constituency MP Engineer Lutfullahel Majed Babu said, “I believe that the district council will play an effective role under the leadership of the new administrator in implementing the promises of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.” At the same time, Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) newly appointed administrator Rukunuzzaman Sarkar expressed his best wishes for the new administrator, saying that Rukun will be by his side in any development activities of the district council.
