Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing an important role in maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety in the country since its inception. RAB has earned the trust of the general public by conducting regular operations to suppress terrorism, murder, drugs, illegal weapons and organized crime. RAB’s activities have been further strengthened with the continuation of arresting accused involved in recent sensational incidents.
On 17/02/2026, at approximately 12:30 pm, while passing in front of the Kishloy School in Rajbari district due to a dispute over unpaid money, accused Ratul (28) and his associates repeatedly attacked the victim, sanitary trader Zahid Fakir (27), with sharp weapons, causing serious injuries. Local people rescued him and took him to Rajbari Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. A murder case was registered in this incident at Rajbari Sadar Police Station (Case No. 19, Date 18/02/2026, Section 302/34 Penal Code). The investigating officer of the case sent a request letter to RAB-10, Dhaka to identify and arrest the accused involved in the incident.
In continuation of this, today, 23/02/2026, at approximately 09:20 am, a smart operation team of RAB-10, CPC-3 Faridpur Camp conducted a special operation in the Majhkandi Bazar area under Madhukhali Police Station with the help of modern information technology. In the said operation, the accused named in the sensational murder case, Shikhan (25), father- Razzak, son- Laxmikol Silim, Police Station- Rajbari Sadar, District- Rajbari, were arrested. It is to be noted that the main accused in this sensational murder case, Ratul (28), has been arrested and handed over to the concerned police station.
The process of handing over the arrested accused to the concerned police station for further legal action is under process. (Special Press Release)
