Lalmonirhat Imam conference to motivate voters

SB-Sujan, Lalmonirhat: The district Imam conference was held in Lalmonirhat with the aim of increasing awareness among ordinary voters and motivating them to actively participate in the democratic process.
‎The conference held at the field adjacent to the District Model Mosque on Tuesday (January 27) at 10.30 am was attended by Lalmonirhat Deputy Commissioner HM Rakib Haider as the chief guest.
‎‎District Police Superintendent Md. Asaduzzaman was the special guest. Presided over by Rezaul Karim, Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Lalmonirhat
‎The conference was also attended by Md. Abdul Hamid Khan, Director of Finance and Accounts Department of Islamic Foundation and Mustafa Mansur Alam Khan, Director of Rangpur Divisional Office of Islamic Foundation, along with concerned officials and imams.
 ‎Maulana Md. Rafiqul Islam, acting principal of Lalmonirhat Nesaria Kamil Madrasa, and Maulana Zainul Abedin, Muhtamim of Aditmari Markazul Quran Madrasa, spoke as discussants at the conference.
‎The speakers emphasized the moral responsibility of ordinary voters in view of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections and said that fair, free and participatory elections play an important role in strengthening the country’s democracy.
‎The speakers also said that imams and religious leaders can play an important role in maintaining peace and order in the society and creating public awareness about voting rights
