Two people have been arrested with 20 pieces of Yaba tablets in a DB operation in Jhalakathi district.
According to police sources, on the 21st at approximately 22:30 pm, a team led by SI Md. Tariful Islam, DB Jhalakathi, conducted a raid on the road in front of Shahjahan Howlader’s shop in Dharakhana area of ​​Basonda Union No. 6, Ward No. 4 under Jhalakathi police station in Jhalakathi district based on secret information.
After verifying the authenticity of the information received, SI Md. Tariful Islam reached the spot at 22:50 pm and arrested two people along with his accompanying force. The arrested are
Md. Mizan Hossain Bepari (35), father- Wahab Bepari, resident- Uttar Paramahal, police station and district- Jhalakathi.
Md. Akash Biswas (19), father- Md. Afzal Biswas, resident- Nayari, 10 No. Nathullabad, police station and district- Jhalakathi.
After searching the body in front of the witnesses present, 20 (twenty) pieces of Yaba tablets wrapped in white polythene were recovered from the right front pocket of the jeans worn by the accused No. 1 Md. Mizan Hossain Bepari.
Legal action is under process in this incident. The DB Police has informed that the anti-drug campaign will continue
