RAB-10 has arrested a drug dealer with 65 bottles of Fair Deal worth about 02 lakh taka in Kotwali, Faridpur and seized a motorcycle carrying drugs.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) is playing a leading role in maintaining law and order in the country and conducting anti-drug operations. As part of RAB’s regular operations to protect the youth from the menace of drugs, today, on 22/01/2026 at approximately 07.10 am, an operational team of RAB-10, CPC-3 Faridpur Camp conducted an operation and recovered drugs and arrested 01 active member of a drug gang.
Based on intelligence information, a smart operation team of RAB-10, CPC-3 Faridpur Camp set up a temporary check post in the Mrigi area under Kotwali Police Station of Faridpur district today, at approximately 07.10 am on 22/01/2026 and arrested a drug dealer along with 65 (sixty-five) bottles of Fairdeal (phensidyl-type drug) worth an estimated 1,95,000/- (one lakh ninety-five thousand) taka stored in a motorcycle in a special manner during a search of a suspicious vehicle. The name of the arrested drug dealer is known to be Md. Atiyar Rahman (45), father- deceased Ansar Ali Biswas, Sang- Madna, Thana- Darshana, District- Chuadanga. At this time, RAB-10 also seized an old unregistered red and black Hero Glamour 125 cc motorcycle used for carrying drugs.
.It is revealed that the arrested person is a professional drug dealer. For some time now, he has been illegally collecting Fair Deal and other narcotics from the border areas of the country and supplying them to different parts of the country in innovative ways. There are a total of 04 cases, including 03 cases under the Narcotics Act, against the arrested accused. The arrested person along with the recovered narcotics has been transferred to the concerned police station for filing a case under the Narcotics Control Act at Kotwali Police Station of Faridpur district.
Drugs are the most dangerous poison in society. It is destroying our youth society, creating instability in families and threatening national security.
