RAB has arrested one of the main accused, Firoz Mia (37), from Kushtia, after unraveling the mystery of the sensational clueless murder case titled “Unidentified body with hands and legs tied and throat slit in Nagarkanda, Faridpur.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has been playing a unique role in maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety in the country since its establishment. On 01/01/2026, at approximately 08.00 am, local people saw the body of an unidentified man lying in a pond adjacent to the slope on the north side of the Narayankhali Bridge on the Faridpur-Bhanga Highway located in Sonakhola village of Dangi Union under Nagarkanda police station in Faridpur district.* They immediately informed the police about the matter. Later, the police reached the spot and recovered the body. Initial observation of the police showed that *the deceased was wearing jeans and a T-shirt. His hands and feet were tied and his eyes and mouth were found covered with scotch tape. In addition, the throat of the body was cut, which makes the incident appear more mysterious and brutal.* When the incident was reported in various media, there was a huge sensation in the area. In view of this, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) immediately strengthened intelligence surveillance and increased its activities to unravel the mystery of the incident with the aim of arresting the accused.
Later, Yesterday, 21/01/2026, at approximately 23.50 hours, a smart operation team of CPC-3 Faridpur Camp of RAB-10, in collaboration with RAB-12 and with the help of modern technology, conducted a special operation in the Allardarga Bazar area of ​​Kushtia. In the said operation, one of the main accused in this sensational *murder case, Firoz Mia (37),* father- Lal Mia, Sang- Madhyagajdia, Thana- Nagarkanda, District- Faridpur’ was successfully arrested. Important progress has been made in unraveling the mystery of the case through the operation.
 Initial investigation revealed that the deceased was identified as Ali Molla (34). On the morning of 30/12/2025, he went to the Krishnachura Feed Mill in Ulukhola, Gazipur with the accused Firoz and his brother-in-law Momrej in a truck. After unloading the goods from the truck there, they loaded and unloaded the goods at various places. Later, on the night of 31/12/2025, the accused Firoz and Momrej collected bottles of liquor and cleverly mixed sleeping pills with Ali Molla’s drink. At one stage of drinking together, Ali Molla vomited and later became unconscious. After reaching the Jatrabari area of ​​the capital, the two accused tied his hands and feet. After a while, when he regained consciousness, the two accused covered his face with scotch tape. Then they sat on Ali Molla and started hitting him repeatedly with a hammer, at one stage of which he became unconscious. Then on 01/01/2026 at approximately 04.00 hours, the two accused stopped the truck and went under the Narayankali Bridge and severely injured the deceased’s neck, confirming his death. Later, they threw the body into a pond adjacent to the bridge slope and left the scene.
The investigation further revealed that the accused Firoz and Momrez used to receive money from the deceased Ali Molla. In addition, Ali Molla had an illegal relationship with Momrez’s niece, i.e. the daughter of his sister’s previous house, and Ali Molla had recorded an objectionable video in this regard. For these reasons, the two accused decided to kill him in a premeditated manner. There are a total of 06 cases against the arrested accused Firoz Mia (37), including 02 cases under the Crimes Disrupting Law and Order (Speedy Trial) Act, and the arrested accused has been handed over to the concerned police station.
