On the occasion of the 13th National Parliament Election-2026, an information meeting and workshop on the postal voting process was held in Kaptai, Rangamati for government officials and employees working outside their area.
The meeting was held at the conference room “Kinnari” of Kaptai Upazila Parishad on Tuesday (December 23) at 11:30 am. The meeting was presided over by Kaptai Upazila Executive Officer and Assistant Returning Officer of the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum-2026, Md. Ruhul Amin.
At the beginning of the program, Kaptai Upazila Election Officer Mita Parial presented a documentary on voting and registration of voters residing in the country using the postal vote bd app through a projector. At this time, he highlighted the rules related to postal voting and said that government officials and employees who will be performing their duties outside their respective constituencies during the election can register and vote in postal ballots within the stipulated time through the postal vote bd app. It is very important to provide the national identity card information correctly during registration and mention the complete and accurate address for sending the ballot.
Later, all the heads of departments present completed the registration directly through the app and other officials and employees of their respective departments were requested to complete the registration quickly in the same manner.
Speaking at the meeting, Upazila Executive Officer Md. Ruhul Amin said that the last date for registration through the postal vote bd app is December 25. He urged everyone to complete the registration on their own initiative within the stipulated time. He also said that the Election Commission has introduced this digital system to ensure the right to vote through postal voting, so everyone should be aware that no one is deprived of this opportunity. He said that he has taken the initiative to introduce help desks in the upazila.
The meeting was also attended by Upazila Livestock Officer Agriculturist Dr. Enamul Haque Hazari, Kaptai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Mahmudul Hasan Rubel, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ruihla Ang Marma, heads of various government departments, representatives of law enforcement agencies, and media personnel.
