Desk News: Gono Forum has signed the ‘July National Charter 2025’. In a signing ceremony organized by the Consensus Commission (ঐকমত্য কমিশন) at the LD Hall of the National Parliament today, the charter was signed on behalf of Gono Forum by the party’s acting president, freedom fighter Subrata Chowdhury, and General Secretary Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman. Also present were senior Advocate A. K. M. Jaglul Haider Afric, a member of the party’s Presidium; Advocate Sagarika Islam, convener of Mohila Gono Forum (Women’s Gono Forum); and Organizational Secretary Mirza Hasan.
At the event, Professor Ali Riaz, Vice-President of the Consensus Commission, stated that Gono Forum has always been involved in Bangladesh’s long struggle for democratic movements and the establishment of a democratic culture. He sincerely congratulated and thanked the party on behalf of the Commission for its engagement with the process of reforming Bangladesh’s state structure.
Among the members of the Commission present at the signing ceremony were Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumdar, Safar Raj Hossain, and Monir Haider, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor involved in the consensus-building process.
