Religious Advisor Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain said, ‘It is very indecent and disrespectful to present the head of government of one country as a demon in another country. We strongly condemn it.’
He said this in response to a question from journalists on the allegation that a portrait of a chief advisor of Bangladesh was used to make a statue of a demon in a Durga Puja pavilion in India. He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a seminar titled ‘Role of Madrasa Students in Nation Building’ in Brahmanbaria on Wednesday (October 1).
He also said, ‘Our head of government and foreign affairs advisor are currently staying outside the country. Necessary decisions will be taken in this regard when they return home.’
The seminar organized at the Islamia Dakhil Madrasa ground near Sadar Upazila in the afternoon was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Md. Didarul Alam. The special guest was the Vice Chancellor of Kushtia Islamic University, Professor Dr. Naqib Md. Nasrullah. The seminar was inaugurated by the president of the madrasa, Md. Amir Hamza Bhuiyan.
