A cake cutting ceremony was held to mark the 6th anniversary of the establishment of the Delta Times newspaper in Rangpur and its seventh year. The event was organized at the local Sumi Community Center on Wednesday (October 1) at around 6:30 pm. Present at the event were Robin Chowdhury Russell, Organizing Secretary of Rangpur Reporters Unity, District Correspondent of Daily Delta Times, Enamul Haque Swadhin, Divisional General Secretary of Bangladesh Press Club, Bureau Chief of Daily Joysagar, Sharifa Begum Shiuli, President of Nabchetna Rangpur District Correspondent-Reporters Unity, SM Zakir Hossain, Coordinator of Anti-Discrimination Journalist Movement, Masudur Rahman Raj, Assistant News Editor of Daily Dabanol, Shakib Uddin, District Correspondent of Ekushey Sangbad, Mostafizur Rahman Bablu, Publisher and Editor of 71 Sangbad.com, Akhtaruzzaman of Daily Ganoalo, Al Shaharia Jim, District Correspondent of Daily Present Times, Nuruzzaman, Gangachara Correspondent of Daily Bhorer Chetna, and others.
At that time, the guests said that the current journalists create a situation that creates a mob with their words when they go to work. Therefore, we must be careful and publish objective news with careful information. Finally, we wish the newspaper all the best. Â
