Lalmonirhat border-3, 9 more at zero line 12 people again detained in push-in

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has detained three people during push-in by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at three border points in Lalmonirhat. In addition, 9 more people are stuck at the zero line due to the obstruction of the BGB and locals.
The push-in incident took place at three border points in Hatibandha and Patgram upazilas on Saturday morning.
The detained persons are Shahidul Islam (35), son of Maqbul Gazi of Satkhuta village in Kalaroa upazila of Satkhira, Amjad Molla (40), son of the deceased Kashem Molla of Putuni village in the same area, and Mamun Molla (50), son of Abdul Mukit Molla of Pateshwari village in Kalia upazila of Narail.
According to BGB and local sources, the BSF forced them into Bangladesh through the 905/1-S pillar area of ​​the Daikhawa border in Gotamari union of Hatibandha upazila. Later, the BGB detained them and handed them over to Hatibandha police station. It is learnt that they had illegally gone to India 8-10 years ago and were working in Mumbai. Recently, the BSF caught them and forcibly crossed the border.
Hatibandha police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mahmudun-Nabi said, “The arrested persons are Bangladeshi citizens. After verification of their identity, they will be handed over to the custody of their relatives.”
Meanwhile, when three more people tried to enter Bangladesh from the 891 pillar area of ​​the East Sardubi border in Barakhata union of the same upazila, the BSF retreated due to resistance from the BGB and locals. The three are still at the zero line.
On the other hand, BSF also tried to push six people, including a woman, at the Dangarpar border in Srirampur union of Patgram upazila. However, they are also staying at the zero line due to resistance from BGB and locals.
In total, three people have been detained at the Lalmonirhat border after being pushed and 9 people are stuck at the zero line.
