Durgapur (Netrokona) Correspondent: For the first time, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has pushed 32 people into Bangladesh through the border of an upazila in Netrokona. Of these, 22 are women, 1 child and 9 men. In addition, the Bangladesh Army and Durgapur Police Station arrested 8 more people from Durgapur Bazar on the basis of intelligence information. They were pushed through the Bijoypur border in Durgapur district at around 3 am on Tuesday, said Abdul Awal, Assistant Director of 31 BGB. The BGB said that they were pushed into the Jagatkura area, about 500 yards inside Bangladesh from 1148/6 S of Bijoypur BOP, when the BGB arrested them. Abdul Awal, Assistant Director of Netrokona BGB’s 31st Battalion, said that they are being questioned initially at the Bijoypur Zilla Parishad Dak Bungalow. Their homes are in various areas of Tangail, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Jessore, Narail, Dhaka, Jamalpur, Brahmanbaria, Khulna, Sherpur and Dinajpur districts. The 32 pushers will be handed over to Durgapur Police Station after initial questioning.
