Media Desk:Â Today 29.05.2025, at approximately 08.50 am, a RAB-10 operation team conducted a raid in the Dholaipar More area under Shyampur Police Station of DMP, Dhaka based on a secret information and arrested 04 drug dealers along with 82 (eighty-two) kg of marijuana worth approximately 24,60,000/- (twenty-four lakh sixty thousand) taka. The names of the arrested drug dealers are 1. Md. Yusuf (37), father- deceased Siddiq Rahman, Sang- Manura, 2. Md. Russell Mahmud (25), father- Roop Mia, Sang- Bagra, 3. Md. Sujan (20), father- Md. Barek, Sang- Chatiani and 4. Saiful Islam Sabbir (21), father- Shariful Islam, Sang- Madabpur, Sarb Thana- Brahmanpara, District- Comilla. At this time, 01 pickup truck used to transport drugs was seized from them.
It is revealed that the arrested accused are professional drug dealers. For some time now, they have been illegally collecting marijuana and other narcotics from various border areas of the country and supplying them to various parts of the country including the capital.
The arrested accused have been handed over to the concerned police station.
