A three-day land development fair has begun in Goalanda, Rajbari under the theme ‘Pay regular land development tax, protect your land’.
The land fair, organized by the Goalanda Upazila Land Office and with the overall support of the Ministry of Land, Land Reforms Board and Land Management Automation Project, was inaugurated by Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Md. Nahidur Rahman on Sunday (May 25) morning.
The fair is organized with the aim of bringing other land-related benefits to the doorsteps of the people, including online land development tax payment, e-namjari application, provision of land records without any harassment, mouza maps and certified copies of online records.
On the occasion of the land fair, a colorful rally started from in front of the Upazila Land Office and ended in front of the Upazila Administration Building along the highway. After that, a discussion meeting was organized in the Upazila Parishad hall.
The meeting, chaired by Upazila Executive Officer Md. Nahidur Rahman, was addressed by Upazila Primary Teachers Association President Babar Ali, Upazila Deputy Assistant Jute Development Officer Md. Mizanur Rahman, Palli Sanchay Bank Manager Gautam Kumar Sarkar, Daily Observer Goalanda Correspondent Sirajul Islam, ICT Officer Md. Nizam Uddin, and others.
In the discussion, the speakers discussed the techniques of adopting digital services in land management, how land owners can easily pay land development tax or rent on their own from home, how to submit e-registration applications online from home, how to receive various land-related services provided by the government, how to receive e-papers and land registrations from home, etc.
