Laksam Upazila Executive Officer Kausar Hamid is flooded with praise

Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Kausar Hamid has become one of the most efficient and humane officials in the administrative activities of Laksam, a historic upazila of Comilla, and as the Laksam municipal administrator. In addition to fulfilling his duties, he has already earned the love of the common people as a socially conscious, kind and people-friendly administrator. Therefore, as soon as his transfer order came, people from all walks of life in Laksam started a movement. Through human chains, protests through social media, writings by journalists, and news published in newspapers, his transfer was able to be stopped. This shows the love of the people of Laksam for him and the quality of his work efficiency.
His active monitoring, discipline and mentality of working alongside the people in every sector of the Upazila, Municipal Council and all the Union Parishads have made him different. Starting from the education sector to health, environment, social security and disaster management, his role is highly commendable. He always tries to listen to the common people and provide quick solutions.
His participation in humanitarian aid activities is also noteworthy. Standing by the helpless, poor, and people with special needs has become part of his daily responsibilities.
Kaushar Hamid, on his own initiative and with his participation, has created a new and different chapter in the history of Laksam by ensuring water flow by cleaning the bottom of the Dakatia River in the Laksam section for the first time, exchanging Eid greetings with orphan children on Eid day, organizing a Baisakhi fair in the upazila premises, arresting thieves and government rice, closing down a toxic baby food factory, cleaning and ensuring water drainage in all the canals of Laksam Upazila and Municipality, and eliminating traffic congestion, among many other surprises.
Laksham Bassi believes that Kausar Hamid is not just a government official, he is a guide who has put public service above his duties. Laksham Bassi believes that with such a humane administrator, development and good governance will be ensured more easily.
They also believe that having one such dedicated and sincere government official in every parliamentary constituency will change the fate of this country.
Regarding Kausar Hamid, Farooq Al-Shahara, General Secretary of Laksam Press Club and Editor of Laksam’s popular weekly magazine Shomora Darpane, said, “He joined Laksam immediately after the country’s transformation and has been working sincerely for the welfare of the people of Laksam. He is especially working to protect the memory of Nawab Faizur Nechcha, Laksam Nawab Bari, and is doing many things, including cleaning various canals in Laksam Upazila and Municipality, which we have never seen in the past. His activities are truly commendable. We thank him on behalf of the media workers.”
Regarding Kausar Hamid, Laksam Journalists Union President Zafar Ahmed said, Kausar Hamid is a humanitarian above all. After joining Laksam, his one after another amazing activities have impressed everyone. The works he has done, even local public representatives in the past did not do those works sincerely. I thank him on behalf of Laksam Journalists Union and media workers.
Regarding Kausar Hamid, Laksam senior journalist, former president and former general secretary of Laksam Press Club, Abdul Quddus said, “He is a humane person who does not just complete his routine work as a government official. He is a humane person. I have come to know that even in the middle of the night, someone asks him for help, he helps him without feeling annoyed. Which we have not received from any government official before. We understand that he sincerely loves Laksam. It is true that he will not be in Laksam forever, but the people of Laksam will remember him for his activities. We thank him on behalf of the people of Laksam.”
