Japanese ball manufacturer Molten on Monday signed a three-year ball partner agreement with the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) to supply 12,000 balls to BFF over three years at a fee of 4,000 per year. Out of which, BFF will get half of the balls for free. The rest will have to be purchased at a discount. These balls will be used in various domestic tournaments and practices. The agreement will save BFF nearly a crore taka annually. BFF Vice President and Marketing Committee Chairman Fahad Karim said, “Molten will provide us with 2,000 balls for free every year. We will be able to buy the remaining 2,000 balls at a more affordable price than the fixed price. This will save us about 5 million taka every year.” The agreement was signed by Takashi Ozaki, Asian Group Leader of Molten Corporation, and Fahad Karim on behalf of BFF. Two vice presidents, Naser Shahriar Zahedi and Wahid Uddin Chowdhury Happy, were also present at the time.  It is known that BFF used to spend money on balls from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) financial support. Now that it has found a ball partner, it is planning to spend that money on other sectors. Last year, BFF bought more than 3,000 Molten balls. According to the BFF’s technical department, BFF can use 4,000 balls a year. Even then, if BFF needs more balls, it can buy them from other companies. Molten has no restrictions or conditions on this. BFF has got a football partner for the first time. Like other partners, BFF will give Molten a place on various boards.
