Fishery Officer Md. Abul Bashar’s operation recovered mosquito nets worth lakhs of taka

Abul Bashar seized 3,000 meters of mosquito nets worth lakhs of taka from the Nayavhanguli River Mollar Bazar area in Muladi yesterday at 2 pm on Saturday. At this time, Muladi Upazila Marine Fisheries Officer Md. Mizanur Rahman assisted him. Fishery Officer Abul Bashar said that yesterday, based on secret information, we recovered these nets from the Nayavhanguli River Mollar Bazar in Muladi Municipality area and brought them to the Fisheries Office and destroyed them in the presence of Muladi Upazila Executive Officer Nizam Uddin. He also said that at that time, the fishermen who owned the mosquito nets fled. He said that this operation is ongoing in different parts of the upazila and that Fisheries Officer Abur Bashar is recovering and destroying banned current nets, mosquito nets, and tied nets every day. Since joining Muladi, Fisheries Officer Md. Abur Bashar has been working tirelessly day and night to protect the fishery resources. It is said that due to his efforts, the use of banned nets in Muladi has been decreasing to a great extent.
