A young man named Mithu (25) has died in a collision between a truck and a motorcycle in Joypurhat.
The accident occurred in the Durgadaha area of ​​Joypurhat Sadar Upazila around 3 pm on Saturday (May 17).
The deceased was Mithu, son of Alek Ali of Komargram, Badalgachhi upazila, Naogaon district.
Joypurhat Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nur Alam Siddique confirmed the death.
Liton Hossain, a UP member of the local Union Parishad, said, “I was sitting in my shop when, at approximately 3:00 pm, a truck was parked next to the mosque, 200 yards south of Durgadah Bazar. At that time, a motorcycle headed towards Badar Gachiri collided with the truck and the motorcycle driver died on the spot.
Joypurhat Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Nur Alam Siddique said, “Police were sent to the scene as soon as they learned about the matter. However, if anyone files a case on behalf of the family, we will take legal action.”
