In Rajapur, Jhalakathi, under the 2024-25 fiscal year under the Conservation and Development Project for Native Fish and Snails, bakna calves have been distributed among fishermen to create alternative employment opportunities.
These cows were distributed at the Rajapur Upazila Parishad premises on Tuesday, May 13 at 11 am.
At this time, one bakna calf was distributed to each of the thirty registered fishermen of the upazila.
Rajapur Upazila Executive Officer Rahul Chandra was present at the program organized on this occasion. Animal Resources Officer Md. Abdullah, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Gautam Mandal and the benefiting fishermen were also present at the program.
