Thousands of people from both sides have been crossing the narrow betel nut tree bridge for generations, and even after a long time, the dreams of the people on both sides have not been fulfilled. Although many promises and plans have been made, this important project has not seen implementation. Thousands of people on both sides of the canal are suffering every day, but no effective initiative is seen to solve it.
The bridge over the Umedpur canal, in front of the Jama Masjid, on the north side of the Pirojpur Sadar Pirojpur Beltola Poet Ahsan Habib Memorial Plaque, is currently in a very dangerous condition, thousands of people on both sides of the canal are suffering every day, but no effective initiative is seen to solve it.
This bridge is used by students of schools, colleges and madrasas, and mosque worshippers, as well as the general public and farmers of the three villages. In addition, it is very difficult for farmers to bring rice and various agricultural products. If someone falls ill, they have to go to the hospital.
Local resident Md. Zahirul Khan said – This bridge is very risky. People of three villages come and go through this bridge. It is very difficult to take sick patients to the hospital. Small children cannot go to schools and madrasas because the bridge is risky. Elderly worshippers cannot come to the mosque to pray. Therefore, we request the concerned authorities to complete the construction of this bridge connecting our three villages.
Local residents said – Due to the absence of this bridge, we have a lot of problems in doing business. School and college students cannot go to schools and colleges, madrasa students cannot go to madrasas. If someone falls ill, they can be taken to the hospital quickly. No, it is very difficult for pregnant mothers to take it, so I request the authorities to fully construct this bridge for the benefit of the people and the local people,
We want this bridge to be constructed in our area very soon. We will take a deep breath and pray for them.
