Demands have been made for the unconditional release of former Nilphamari MP and BNP executive committee member Engineer Shahrin Islam Tuhin.
This demand was made during a human chain organized by the Uttaranchal Engineers Forum in front of the National Press Club on Saturday (May 3).
In his speech, former MP from Chapainawabganj Harunur Rashid said that others’ names have been withdrawn and acquitted in the same case. However, Tuhin’s bail was withheld and he was sent to jail. This is disrespectful behavior for the BNP.
He also said, “We want to know if there is another government behind the government. The fascists who fled are still around the chief advisor. They are the ones who did this. Soon the area around the chief advisor will be free from fascism.”
The meeting was presided over by Shafiqul Islam, President of the Uttaranchal Engineers Forum, and was also attended by Shamim Rabbi Sanchay, Hanif Mia, Akbar Hossain, Shafiqul Islam Kham, Nurul Islam and others.
