Joypurhat Correspondent : 06 November 24 A young man named Shahinur Rahman (25) was killed in a road accident on his way from his father-in-law’s house.
The accident took place on the Joypurhat-Mokamtala road on the east side of the Bamboo Bridge Calling Food Processing Freezer in Kalai Upazila of Joypurhat on Wednesday morning. Zahid Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalai Police Station confirmed the matter.
The deceased’s sister Sumna Akhtar said that Shahinur Rahman is the only younger brother among the seven sisters. He married the daughter of Ziaur Rahman of Apla Para village in Punut Union of Kalai Upazila a year ago. He was killed on his way to his home from his in-laws house on Wednesday.
Kalai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zahid Hossain said that around 5 am on Wednesday, the locals informed the police after seeing a dead body and a motorcycle lying on the east side of the bamboo bridge calling food processing cold store on the Jaipurhat-Mokamtala road. Kalai Thana police immediately reached the spot and rescued the dead person and brought him to the police station.
