The 93rd birth anniversary of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesha Mujib was celebrated in Cox’s Bazar through various events. A discussion meeting was held yesterday Tuesday (August 08) under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shaheen Imran. MP Kaniz Fatema Ahmed Mostak was the chief guest. MP Kaniz Fatema Ahmed said that Bangabandhu Fazilatun Nesha Mujib was a wise politician, a brave warrior and a wise woman. That is why Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was able to become ‘Bangabandhu and Father of the Nation’ due to his companionship, infinite sacrifice and motivation. He selflessly spent the best time of his life and youth at all stages of life as the companion and driving force of life of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu. Averse to publicity, this noble woman has worked in silence. She showed unprecedented patience by bearing indescribable pain and suffering with a smile. Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangmata Fazilatun Nesha Mujib complement each other. In the history of Bengal, Bangmata has played an incomparable role in the creation of the nation’s struggling leadership. Police Superintendent Md. Mahfuzul Islam, Tourist Police Assistant Superintendent Shehrin Alam and Sadar Upazila Parishad Women’s Vice Chairman Hamida Taher spoke as special guests in the meeting. Subrata Biswas, Deputy Director of District Women and Child Affairs Department, gave the welcome address. The meeting was presided over by Executive Magistrate Moon Moon Pal and was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Vibhishan Kanti Das, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Tapti Chakma, Jail Superintendent Md Shah. Alam Khan, Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Kaiserul Haque Jewell and District Education Officer Md. Nashir Uddin and many others. Later, 45 sewing machines and checks of Tk 725,000 were distributed to poor women in the district. After the meeting Maulana Kazi Sirajul Islam Siddiqui, President of the District Imams’ Association led the prayers.
