Five months of VGB rice allocated for women in Amtali, Barguna has been distributed in one day.
Yesterday, 30 kg of rice (each card holder) for five months was distributed among 304 beneficiaries of Athargachhia Union of the upazila, and 150 kg of rice (each card holder) was distributed among the beneficiaries.
UP member Abdul Baten Dewan, administrative officer Md. Zakir Hossain, tag officer Upazila Secondary Education Office officer Md. Selim Mahmud and UP members and members were present at the rice distribution program at the Athargachhia Union Parishad premises. UP members of each ward were present and distributed the rice among the allowance recipients of their respective wards.
The distressed women are very happy to receive this rice. One of them, Golenur Begum, said, “The chairman of Mogo has distributed rice in a beautiful and fair manner today. After the two-year period for receiving rice for the beneficiaries, the current government has extended the period for 6 months. The distressed women are enjoying the joy of Eid by receiving rice.”
Athargachhia Union Administrative Officer Md. Zakir Hossain said that 304 card-holding beneficiaries of this union have been properly distributed 30 kg of rice each, totaling 150 kg for five months.
