One person was killed and three others were injured when a truck full of pan overturned on the Marine Drive road in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar. The accident happened last Sunday (February 12) at 8 o’clock in the night. Deceased Hasan Ahmad (35) son of Chayed Ahmad of Noakhalia neighborhood of Teknaf Sadar Union. He is a laborer by profession. Mohammad Mashiur Rahman, in-charge of Baharchhara Police Investigation Center, said that a truck loaded with betel leaves from Shilkhali market in the upazila headed for Teknaf Sadar. The vehicle lost control and overturned while entering the Marine Drive road through the internal link road. 4 people were injured when the truck crushed them. Later, the locals rescued the injured and took them to Cox’s Bazar District Headquarters Hospital, one of them died on the way. The other three injured are being treated at the hospital. The body of the deceased has been sent to Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital Morgue.
